Peer-review process
The review process includes several stages:
- Verification of compliance with formal requirements. The author's manuscript is verified for compliance with the requirements placed in the section Requirements for the design of journal articles/ Article design requirements. If inconsistencies are found (for example, the absence of the necessary structural elements of the article, incorrect design of the References), the author will be asked to make the necessary corrections.
- Assessment of compliance with the journal profile and verification of uniqueness. The article is assessed for compliance with the scientific profile of the journal and is also checked for uniqueness (a specialized software tool is used). Articles with at least 85% of original author's text are allowed to the next stage of review. If this criterion is not met, the author may be denied publication or asked to revise the paper.
- Independent anonymous review. The articles admitted to this stage are double-blind peer reviewed, which guarantees the objectivity of the evaluation. The review is carried out by invited external experts or members of the editorial board. The reviewer receives an anonymous author's manuscript and, after reviewing it, fills out a standard review form (the form is available on the website). The review period should not exceed two weeks.
Communication between the author and the reviewer is carried out exclusively through the editorial board of the journal, which transmits the expert's comments to the author. Direct contact between the author and the reviewer is possible only by mutual agreement.
The author is invited to take into account the reviewer's comments, revise the text in accordance with the reviewer's edits or refute them with arguments and send the updated manuscript to the editorial board.
The revision period should not exceed seven days from the date of receipt of the expert's conclusions. If the author does not have time to make changes within the specified period, the author will be offered to publish the article in the next issue of the journal. If the author categorically disagrees with the comments, the author has the right to revoke his/her article.
- Making the final decision. The Editor-in-Chief or one of his/her deputies makes the final decision on the publication of the article.
