Ukrainian camp magazines in the Czechoslovak Republic as a source for the martyrology of interned Ukrainians (1919—1923)

Abstract: The camp magazines «Ukrayinsʹky Skytaletsʹ» [«Ukrainian Wanderer»] (Liberec, Josefov, Vienna, 1920—1923) and the «Ukrayinsʹky Striletsʹ» [«Ukrainian Rifleman»] (Nimetsʹke Yablonne, 1920—1921) have been analyzed for the presence of obituaries and other materials that are the source of biographical information about interned Ukrainians, who died in the Czechoslovakia. On the basis of the published data, the alphabetic inde of the deceased (87 persons) has been created with short biographical information: the year and place of birth, the date and place of death and burial and so («Appendix 1»). A geographical index of the burial places of Ukrainians has been created (settlments have been presented with the the current name and territorial affiliation as well as), the amount and names of the buried have been indicated («Appendix 2»).
